Question

What should I look for in an external monitor for a laptop??

Sep 14, 2018 6:56PM PDT

Hello all,

New to the form, so apologies if this question has been covered.

I am looking to buy an external monitor for my work laptop.

I routinely work from home and only have the laptop.
No docking station.
It's a Lenovo Thinkpad T440p (provided by work).
Input for a monitor is a VGA port.
Aside from the usual office software, the primary application will be Microstation (CAD).

From what I've read, I should be more concerned with resolution than speed???

I would appreciate any advice you all have.

Thanks

I appreciate the advice.
I'll take a look at the monitors on amazon and pick up a cable.

Thanks!!
