Usually not something a 400 buck camcorder can do. You'll want to light it up still.

Hey Ive been looking to buy a digital camcorder but cant decide on what to get. Money isnt a big factor, but nothing over 1k. Ive been lookin at the Sony Handycam DCR-PC250, DCR-TRV80 as well as the canon optura 30 and 40. My first project with this will be a short film for school. Nothing to fancy. I have some night scenes though. Im not really sure what kind of filming I'll be doing with it after that, just filiming everything with it alot I imagine. So can anyone point me in the right direction? What kind of differences are there between the 400 dollar optura 30 and the handycam? The only thing better I can see is twice the resolution, but lacks in other areas the cheaper cams have. Can anybody help!?
