Question

what should I do about this adware

Aug 12, 2017 8:53AM PDT

Received this notification via Kaspersky Pro
"Detected: not-a-virus: AdWare.Win32.DownloadWare.vsv
Location: C:\Users\John\Downloads\cbsidlm-213-Unlocker-SEO-10493998.exe
Choices are:
Delete Skip Add to exclusions"
Which of these choices should I use?
I do use that program but I could get a different one that does the same thing.

I deleted it. I am using Lock hunter on another computer and will use that.

Where are you getting Lock Hunter?

https://www.google.com/search?q=Lock+hunter finds it at their site and download.com.

Download.com denies they are adding adware or anything we don't want but I will not test that again as the last time I did it took a few hours to peel out what they installed.

Claims that I could opt out were also false. It's a shame really because they single-handedly gave download sites a bad rep.
