What's wrong with this?

Two back to back news stories on the radio:

1) Police say that recent bank robberies were done by Mexican prison mafia members. They say that the money was used to support their heroin addictions.
2) Fridays winning numbers in the Pick 5 Lottery are...

???

Deco'dense? Nanny State?

I am not too sure what Bob means myself, but as a guess I think he is comparing robbing millions to winning millions. But of course I could be so far out there, I may well finish up in a rowing boat in the middle of the Atlantic Happy

Hi, Steve.

Bob's posts have been a bit obtuse Wink I focused on the word "addiction..."

Well, yeah. Something like that.

In reply to: Re:What's wrong with this?

I feel that the lottery is a bit like 'reverse Robin Hood' bank robbery. And our politicians run in gangs and have some heroin addict like characteristics. Denial and such.

Hi, Sasha Tee. BTW

Hi Bob,
You're probably right but I keep hoping and hoping for the big hit with each lottery drawing.

Hi, Sasha.

The sad thing is that some folks put hundreds of dollars a year into the lottery as part of their "retirment plan," when they'd do much better with a Roth IRA!

HMmmm, $2 per week in 2 lotteries, 4 times 52 is $204.

Yeap, I'd be guilty of spending 'hundreds' of dollars a year if I could get them without driving 2 hours to the border. As is, I only buy one ticket in each large lottery for the max number of draws each time I go to Virginia.

I saw the numbers once on how much money from NC residents is going to SC and Virginia lotteries, staggering how much it was.
