What's wrong with the hard disk drive?

by Code7526 / May 30, 2013 3:13 PM PDT

When I do error-checking on my Samsung RV510 laptop this is what comes up on the screen;

"Recovering orphaned file EQNEDT32.CNT(274893) into directory 271752"
"Recovering orphaned file 1033(271772) into directory 271752"
"Recovering orphaned file 274899 into directory 271752"
"Recovering orphaned file 274902(271772) into directory 271752"
"Recovering orphaned file 27906 into directory 271752"

What does this mean? Does it mean there is something wrong with my hard disk drive?

That means something WAS wrong with the filesystem, and is now corrected. If it never happens again, it's a one-time glitch. If you get new cases without a clear cause, something is wrong with the disk.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
