What's this stupid stuff called?

There's ALWAYS this kind of *popup* window appearing upon the first visit of the site requiring the viewer to sign up on the site in order to proceed.

What's this stupid thuga$$ thing called?

I really hope that there's a LAW to forbid this kind of crap. JUST KIDDING...(halfway)

There's a few things.

The sign up pop up is by our own doing. We went to that site so no need for a law there.

The other think is MALWARE/ADWARE/CRAPWARE/Trojan/tinker/tailor/spy. For that there are laws but with so much money to be made and governments too slow on the draw, then it will continue. There are scanners for Windows to find most but not all the crap.
