What's the best monitor for me

hi im in the market for a new LCD monitor. i have a few questions here.
will my computer will be able to handle the new monitor?
its a P4 2.93GHz with 1.49GB of ram shared with integrated graphics. the monitor in question here is a viewsonic 22 inch lcd monitor with resolution of 1680x1050?
i will be using the monitor for web surfing and wacthing movies, not intended for gaming purposes.

Yes, your computer most likely will be able to handle just about any monitor you connect to it. So the only thing I would suggest, is that you get a monitor with DVI inputs if you have a DVI port on your computer. Outside of that, if you're not using it for gaming, get whatever monitor you like.

will my intel GMA 900 integrated ghrapics will be able to drive the monitor at it's native resolution at 1680x1050? cause when i go in the graphic's settings right now i only can see option for 800x600 and 1024x768. thanks also is the viewsonic VX2235wm any good for watching movies and general computer use? would 22inch offer any benefit over 19inch? im using a 15inch DIAMOND VIEW CRT atm.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
