What's Java and JavaScrpt ?

Mar 10, 2005 11:43PM PST

Dear all,

I may look very naive, but I'm a brand new incomer to the industry. I have experienced a lot of times deceptive replies to my tentatives to get some web page opened : the reason is "javascript". When this shows up, it's finished, what remains to do is only to switch away to another page !

But still, I do not know what is Java and javascript. Will you help me to get into the frame, please ? What have I to do to skip this problem in the future ?

Thanks a lot.

Rachid

Java

Java is a computer script language, which you have to install in order for your computer to translate it. There are two common types, Microsoft, and Sun. I don't have time to go into this, but I recommend you install Sun as Microsoft has given up support for its version.
