What Processor

Aug 12, 2004 3:33AM PDT

I want to start creating DVD's on my PC, but the requirements for all the DVD recorders specify a Pentium III processor. My system has a 1.6gig Celeron
processor. Can I use a DVD drive on this system?

Since I've able to create a DVD on my laptop with a P3 600 MHz, it seems that you'll do fine. Your 1.6 GHz is better.

That's an optimium requirement as I know lower speeds have been used. If you have problems try reducing the burn speed from its defaults. It will help greatly if you have enough system ram to help in the overall burning process, at least 256mb or better.

Thanks Willy,

I wasn't sure about that "Minimum Requirement", I have 512Mb RAM on system, so I'll go ahead and get the DVD drive. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
