by steelersfan58 / November 27, 2014 11:26 AM PST

As I said before I have a new Dell computer and I'm trying to play music on the same computer so I need some type of player like yes Real Player. I'm not sure what VLC is can it be downloaded and does anyone have a link for it because programs that I have been trying to download have viruses on them. I may have the program on this new computer but I dont know where to find it in the 8.1 OS Please Help

I didn't read any reference to music in your post.

In reply to: Music players

But for music I use 4 players. I worry a bit here because for years I'm found apps with google (a search engine.) I know a lot of folk are new to computers so I'll take it you didn't know about search engines.

I want to share another I use -> https://duckduckgo.com/

So here are the 4 players I use for music.

1. WMP (it's in windows so zero effort required.)
2. VLC Player (which is my go to for almost all playback of many things.)
3. WinAmp
4. iTunes.

Windows Media Center & Realplayer are two
by wpgwpg / November 27, 2014 3:03 AM PST

Windows Media Center is built in with Windows 8 Pro, I don't know about other versions. RealPlayer is available for downloading. And, as Bob says, a lot of folks like VLC.

Good luck.

I use Audacious for Windows . It's just a good CD player , it also plays my downloaded music library.
