Question

What paint and word apps would be compatible with my Tablet

Jan 1, 2015 10:17AM PST

I have a Digiland 7" inch quad core tablet and it does not come with a paint app or a document app like wordpad or microsoft word. So, I would like to know anyone's opinion on what one would be compatible with my Tablet? I would also like to know how to delete apps from my tablet since everytime I tried it would make a copy to the main screen that comes up when I turn it on. Please help.

This is my first Tablet and I wanna make sure I do it right and not mess it up somehow. I don't know if Digiland is a Android tablet or not.

Answer
Simply no. Here's why.

Since documents on Windows, say Word, reformat on the fly to work with your printer and this tablet has no printer the WYSIWYG fails. The Digiland I found on the web looks like one of the lowest grade Androids you can find. I'd return it quickly.

My brother used what money he had left to buy it for me for christmas. So, I will not return a gift that my family gets me. Also, looks can be deceiving. I not writing to print something up. I write to post things on a fanfic website.

So why must it be Paint and Word?

Your posts sounded like you wanted this to be like a PC. Android is so far away from Windows it's not funny. I find many just add these to their closet collections after a few days or weeks. It's that sad.

-> There are many many paint and text editors on Google Play. And here's the real rub. If you are using some fan site, my bet is the web browser matters more than the editor/paint app. That is, even if you typed something up, I don't know of a browser that "pastes" from the text file. We would have to open the text file in the editor, mark, copy then switch to the browser and then paste. The gyrations are going to cause many to crash and burn then put this tablet into the closet.

Why not just hit the web fan site and type directly in the browser? Just like you do here?

all word processors will read .doc word files. I've found a good tool to use is Google apps. There is also a Paint app at the Play Store. Google Docs and Google Sheets work with Word and Excel files.
