I looked and see 300 cycle batteries so life span looks about the same. Battery time is all over the map. I can show reviews where you get from 1 to 6 hours depending on use so lifespan is what you wrote. Why not use AC when you can and get the most life from the battery?
5 to 7 years? I don't see that happening as no battery gets that far. Figure bi-yearly replacement if you insist on using the battery at day and charge at night.

Hello folks,
I am torn between getting a 15' Macbook Pro Retina Display or Lenovo T450s which I will use for college and up to my business career (eg; finance, business management). I was googling "best business laptops 2015" and came to the result that the two said laptops are my best bet for what I need (although it really was the T440s and not T450s but since T450s just came out I thought that it has to be better that the former and I should just get it). I intend to customize my T450s to almost specs. I will be using my laptop mainly for schoolwork and business-related work (will most likely use it for non-demanding-specs games once in a while) I value LONGEVITY and battery lifespan the most. I intend to keep this laptop for AT LEAST 5 years, preferably 7, and that is why I am willing to spend this much on a laptop right now.
PS: If you know of a better choice for my laptop needs please do share.
tldr; What is the best school/business laptop that has the longest longevity? Macbook Pro or Lenovo T450s? Also, what would be the best bet for software support longevity? Apple or Windows?
Thank you!
