i have lap top with a 15.4 inch screen and I use the targus notebook back pack. I think it's pretty durable. Check out http://www.targus.com for more information. When you are carrying a notebook that weighs more than 7 pounds with this back pack, you can barely feel that you are carrying one at all, that's how good the back pack is. If you don't want use it like a back pack there is a carry handle that you can use like a brief case or something like that.

I have my new laptop. It's really a desk-top replacement, so it's a heavy old thing. But I still want to have a case in case I'm moving it around...
I really want something with great protection (I live in fear of dropping it or bumping it around! particularly because it IS so heavy), but won't be traveling a LOT so I don't want something that will cost too much. I'm willing to pay a certain amount for something that will offer good protection, though.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Or know of some good sites that review cases for how well they protect? (other than c|net, of course!).
