What you are looking for is a slideshow program that will output to CD, VCD and DVD.

I did a Google search and found many such programs, but none were free.

There are a lot of free slide show programs.
Windows XP has a free one.
But I don't know of any free side show program that will output to DVD.

One of the most popular full-featured sideshow programs is:
ProShow Gold by Photodex.
It can output to CD, VCD, DVD, and more.

You can go to www.photodex.com and download a trial version of ProShow Gold version 2.5

Most CD and DVD software that comes with the burner will do what you want---Nero does a pretty good job.
