General discussion

what is zango

Mar 11, 2005 11:08AM PST

I was checking through my downloaded files and found a file "zangoinstaller" - went to ASK JEEVES to find out what it was - saw a site "get rid of zango" Is this something that should not be? Goodness. Help anyone?

Typing zangoinstaller into Google brings up some results and the advice is to remove it.

If you have Ad-Aware the anti adware program, it should remove this.

thank you, MarkFlax - can you figure this one out?

Actually, i found zango by accident. After i found it i went back to search and typed in "zango" and the search result turned up - zero. Long story short - went back to where i found it to begin with and deleted it. Something else - when i turn on my computer there is a faint outline of a page entitled "United - Fang4" - from what i see looking thru Jeeves and Googles - it all looks like chinese to me. I cannot find Fang 4 in the search. NIS 2005, Spybot, and spyblaster are not picking up anything. Weird? i think so too. Any suggestions???

Try Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE Personal

from http://www.lavasoftusa.com

It's a free anti-adware utility, and if you update it's definitions regularly and scan the computer regularly, it will help you keep free of adware.

I haven't heard of Fang4 either. Are you saying this is related to the zango problem or this is a different problem?
