Pizza Capricieuse (Onex, Switzerland)
by Boston / May 22, 2015 5:33 PM PDT

Pizza Capricieuse (from Onex, Switzerland) contains everything, incl. mushrooms, ham, 1 sunny side up egg. This is my brother's favorite pizza. The crust is thin.

Never heard of such topping but very interesting!

One day if I ever go to Onex, Switzerland I'm gonna have to try that.

I have yet to find a pizza that I really like. I guess I'm just not a pizza bloke. If I'm desperate I would take a capriciosa as that seems the only one with any flavour but it must have anchovies.
Much prefer a decent Lasagne.

None. Banned.

I am banned from eating pizza for many different reasons. The medical guys who keep trying to make me immortal also keep finding new and exciting reasons why pizza is bad for me.
But if I were to pick one it would be spicy chicken.
Only because no one does a spicy venison. Happy

Sounds weird, but simply delicious... whether on plain Dominoes thin crust, or Papa John's regular crust, or Pizza Hut pan crust, or Little Ceasar's regular everyday crust. Simply divine!

Never really had pizzas, like those that I enjoyed so much when I lived in Italy in the early 60's.
But............ The one that comes very close for me now, is the 'Hawaiian' with extra ham, pineapple and dowsed with a large sprinkling of mozzarella, all washed down with a generous glass of sparkling Rose'.
Please note!! This is a 'once a month treat' not a regular/everyday indulgence.

Well done to you Lee and your Team for this 'New Forum Layout' , now where do I find the 'smilies and editing' buttons Wink

My Preference
by TopHatProductions115 / May 31, 2015 9:03 AM PDT

I prefer a pizza with a balance of elements; a mixture of veggies/fruit, meat, and cheeses is needed. My best combination:

pepperoni
sausage or bacon
green peppers
pineapple
pepper-jack cheese

optional: olives

I make my own dough and let it rise slowly overnight for a sweet but thin crust. The crust is the delivery mechanism not the main ingredient!

Best in NYC: Two Boots. Thin cornmeal crust, crispier crust than most, with spicy sauce that you don't find in the plain "village" type joints. I know this is sacrilege to NYers but no matter where I go in New York I fail to find a better tasting slice of plain cheese pizza. Period.

Best in LA: Did you know John's of the West Village has a place on Sunset Blvd/La Cienega? But I digress. The best pizza in LA is at Mozza Pizzeria. Get the one with salami and fresno chilies.

Best in SF: Village Host Pizza in Burlingame or Belmont. Thick crust, very unique SF style -- though not quite as crusty as the people who work here. But that's just part of the charm. Get a pitcher of Anchor Steam and saddle up to watch the Warriors crush the Cavs.

Best in San Diego: Carino's Pizza in La Jolla. Tiny place by Sea Lane beach. You swing the double doors open, park it in one of the uncomfortable, sticky booths, crush one of these incredible, greasy pies and then head to the beach looking like you're carrying an alien in your stomach. Want two aliens? Hit Roberto's for a carne asada burrito afterwards.
