WMP10 - its just that simple
Jan 22, 2006 10:54PM PST

Windows Media Player 10 is so freakin easy, it doesnt really matter what other programs you have. You can burn your Now Playing list (or any other playlist) with the click of a button, and it automatically converts the files to the correct format (including wav, mp3, and wma) its quick and its simple, and thats all that matters

DVD SHRINK 3.2
Jan 23, 2006 1:32AM PST

I use DVD Shrink 3.2 mainly because it is free, easy to use, and works well with my Windows 98 system. It has none of the complicated types of burns. If you simply want to burn a movie, it suffices.

*Nero*
Jan 23, 2006 6:15AM PST

I recieved Nero burning rom with my OEM purchace of my DVD burner. If you already have the regular Nero for CD burning, you don't need that. Remove that program cause the DVD Nero has both CD and DVD options in it. So if you have a CD burner and a DVD burner it will recognise them both.

If your interested in burning right protected movies, you may need 2 additional programs.
DVD43 is a free encripter and you can get through your normal search engine. It brakes the SCC codes.

Also... 1Click Copy is the program to copy the movie.
run both DVD43 and this together.

Roxio is faster; Nero easier
Jan 23, 2006 9:54PM PST

I choose Roxio over Nero simply because it's faster.

I have used both for date, audio and video.

Roxio, however does show more glitches after a period of time.

Nero is easier than Roxio and has fewer glitches, but only after BurnRights, where needed is installed.

Hope this helps.

it's EASY

windows media player simply because it's so easy ... you can look at all the songs you have and look at the ones you're about to burn and listen to the music all at the same time effortlessly

Favorite CD/DVD app NERO
Jan 27, 2006 4:11AM PST

Hands down, it's Nero. I have to admit, it's the only one I've ever used. But when something works so well, and is not going to break the bank.....it's only logical to go with it! I've been using it for about a year. Mainly photos and cds/dvds.... I haven't sprung for then Nero 7 yet, but I'm sure I will, eventually....

Never had a problem with Nero!

Nero 7
Feb 3, 2006 12:07AM PST

I decided to go for Nero 7....am waiting for it to arrive. I bought it on eBay for a great price! Nero rules, in my opinion. When I first got Nero, I had little or no clue as what to do. Turns out, it was almost self explanatory.

I LOVE NERO! I will admit that I never used the other applications, but why bother, when I have such confidence and usability with Nero, coupled with a nice format, making it easy to use! Go for it, I doubt that anyone would be other than pleased, as I am!

Clone CD/DVD
Jan 29, 2006 11:02AM PST

I like Clone CD because it is very simple and easy to use. When you make a DVD or CD it asks you what kind of disc you want to make. Some are make audio cd, make mp3 cd, make multimedia cd, make video cd, make super video cd, make dvd, make data cd/dvd, make game cd, make bootable disc cd. These are most of the default ones. All you have to do after you have selected one of these choices is to select which disc drive to retrieve from (or a file on the pc) and then which drive to burn to.
It then tells you when to take out the original disc and put in the burnable disc and can eject, if you please, when it is finished.

Favorite DVD Burning App
Jan 30, 2006 2:01PM PST

Nero is my favorite. Since I`m a 70 year old "non-geek" I needed something that is real "user friendly" and Nero filled the bill. Roxio Difficult Media Creator 7.5 attempts to put way too much into one app.

DVD Shrink
Feb 1, 2006 2:27AM PST

This simple FREE application hooks up with Nero (which I cannot use for DVD Burns). It may not be the BEST, but it works and is free. That is a no-brainer reason to use it, unless you are a computer snob!
