Everyone notices the increase in incivility in daily life, especially on the political side. You must have seen earlier rudenesses, of the individual kind, usually directed at the Right. Sessions' own political background is contentious and he signed on willingly with a President who became such through a campaign of deliberate contentiousness.
That being the case, he can't complain. And, neither can shopkeepers who get caught up in the unpleasantness; not at this stage.
If laws, or shop windows, are broken then the law steps in.
Nice system you have there.

On the political side people have become so dug in they won't even listen to an opposing view.

They find an info source that feeds their opinion and they are happy.

Any opposing media coverage is branded fake news or enemy of the people.

I don't have a problem reading about some event from cnn and then fox.

I might think I'm reading about 2 different events but that's ok.

As for Sessions he's doing the job he was hired to do.

If he does not do the job then his boss will replace him with someone who will do the job.

Trump's terms of fake news and enemy of the people.....but BO referred to Fox as a news outlet that people shouldn't listen to and went so far as to sic his DOJ (Holder) on the AP as well as a Fox journalist and his family, so attacking media is not just coming from the current president.

As for Sessions....he's barely doing anything he's been hired to do. Most times he seems to be MIA and has turned out to be either incompetent for this high a level or unwilling. Getting replaced would be an impossible task at this point... the Dems would be consistent and refuse to confirm his replacement for as long as possible and we would end up with Rosenstein pretty much permanently, even though he should recuse himself (and has refused to do so) from the Mueller/Russian investigation because of a conflict of interest. How can he objectively oversee the case when he is also a witness in the case?

"fake" NEWS is in the eyes of the beholder.

When I "see and hear" someone(Trump) saying or doing something on the boob tube...I believe my eyes and ears over anything I hear someone else tell me what "just happened".

RE:As for Sessions....he's barely doing anything he's been hired to do.

Part of what he was hired to do is, was to let his hirelings do THEIR job.

The "question" was

RE:How did we get so far left and right and intolerant.

It was left and right for a while...it's gotten more intolerant lately, partly because of stunts like this.

Trump makes a BIG deal out of signing a defense bill named after John McCain....but does Trump even mention the war heroes name? I watched the entire event on the boob tube....no need for FOX to tell me that Trump DID mention McCain by name.

Because HE didn't...and FOX NEWS would be "fake news" AGAIN.

Considering that McCain

is probably dying and out of compassion for him, I can understand why the bill was named after him; however, if you actually look at his Senate record with him serving on the Veteran's Affairs Committee for years, he didn't do much for the vets over 40 some years so to me, personally, the bill should have been named for someone or something else. I'm just happy that the bill passed.

But not enough compassion to SAY his name?

HE spent lots of time mentioning a couple dozen other people...it would have taken about 3 seconds to say "John McCain", and he just finished a 10 day vacation, so he shouldn't have been too tired.

John McCain....2 words Donald Trump will never say again?

In MY opinion he didn't want to open up old wounds.

Trump's terms of fake news and enemy of the people?

No president likes to see negative media.

With the child he's just a constant supply of ammo to generate the negative media.

Rosenstein.......he's going to park himself right where he is to protect Mueller and the investigation.

Let the investigation go to completion.......it will show something or nothing.
