This is one of the screens I've seen on those. The external display might work long enough for you to get your files out.
DO NOT REPAIR since a new laptop of equal or better performance costs less than the repair.

So does this mean i can take it somewhere to get it fixed ? ,in the article it says something about replacement or something
The settlement was over a year or so ago and repairs should run more than replacement.
While it looks like the usual DV2000/DV6000/DV9000 failure I can't find what model this is.
In parting, an example that should be faster than those is this 250 buck #1 seller on Amazon.
