Step 1. More scans are needed. I use Grif's list at http://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/how-to-remove-pup-option-603542/#post-f742c795-5881-433b-a29b-6d758efe5cd3
Step 2. If that continues, reset the browser that this occurs in.
I'm not sure if this is an alert/tip on a new thing or just a question. I googled it but all I found was a thing about a phone scam relating to the website which isn't applicable in my case. It's a website of some sort that has filled my Chrome browser history without me ever going to it. And when I say filled, I mean like over a hundred hits a minute. The full URL is really long and I don't want to give a link that someone could accidentally click anyway since I'm pretty sure it's gotta be something sketchy, so here's a screenshot of it from my browser history.

Further background information that is almost certain to be relevant: My browser was occasionally opening up random sketchy popups in new tabs. I ran Malwarebytes and it found instances of something called "PUP.Optional.NewTabTV" which I had it get rid of. But it happened again and then my browser was acting weird (okay, Netflix was acting weird -- inexplicable error in playing the show -- but it was fine on my phone) so I did another scan and found more of that PUP. So I googled that and found out about Malewarebytes' separate anti-adware program and ran that. It took out a bunch of things (I'm sorry I can't be more specific but none of it really stuck out to me and I tend to trust the software to do its thing -- windowsfailerror was definitely not among the things though; I think that would've stuck out).
Anyway, so now my computer and browser are working fine as far as I can tell but for some amount of time (there are too many results to conceivably figure out how long) there are tons and tons of instances of that website. Far more instances than there were tabs open, I'll add, too.
Mostly, as long as my computer doesn't continue to act up I'm not very worried since it seems like the problem was just an adware, but since I couldn't find any info on it I wanted to make sure people knew about the site. (Also I'm gonna go clear my browser history now... o_o)
