Resolved Question

What is the quickest way to close minimized windows in dock?

Aug 30, 2011 4:31AM PDT

Is there any way I am able to close minimized internet and application windows (located in the dock) without having to first open each one individually to full screen? I was hoping I could right click minimized windows and select close, but there is only the "open" option available. Thank you!

(I have a Mac OSX version 10.6.Cool

Use RIGHT CLICK

and the option will be there to Close the window.

If you believe you have no Right Click, check the Mouse or Trackpad preference pane in System Preferences and make sure that the right click is set to Secondary.

or you can just hold down the Control key when clicking the mouse

Right click works on applications, but not websites

mrmacfixit, Thank you for responding to my post! The right click and using the control when clicking the mouse works for closing the actual applications and things such as Word documents. However, this still doesn't seem to work for closing extra "Finder" windows or websites that I have minimized to the right of my dock. I checked in the System Preferences and the right click was set to secondary, as you suggested. However, I still only see the option to "open" my minimized websites to full screen. No "close" option is available.
