The first question should be" "Is there a new trend of web development?". Then, if the answer to that question is yes, the question is what that is or what those are.
But since you're a software company, you should answer that question in stead of asking it.

Locking this thread, since it's off-topic moreover. It's amazing that somebody representing a development company doesn't know the difference between a web application and a PC application, isn't it? Makes you wonder if you should employ them to make your software.
