Mar 31, 2006 10:11PM PST

I must not be getting this joke, but whats the e-vri-thin?
What does it do?
Whats the purpose of the e-vri-tin?
Can you make the e-vri-thin interface with your wife?
How about dog?
Can it excercise for you?
Does it interface with CNET's April Fools Day joke machine?

It's a prototype
Mar 31, 2006 11:33PM PST

The E-vri-thin is only a prototype, like a concept car. The actual device that's going to be released for summer is the E-vri-one. They're already using a different version in hospitals on a trial run - the E-vri-body.

NAS - Network Activated Stapling
Apr 1, 2006 3:15AM PST

E-vri-thin is natively capable of NAS (Network Activated Stapling). An easy accessory that interfaces with your home network and stapler can put you on the road while your papers get stapled* at home.

-*some stapling may not fully puncture stack. Lmits to stack height and puncture depth vary by accesorised model. Convergencis is not responsible for stapler capabilities.

Electron gun distgortion generator capability
Apr 1, 2006 2:51PM PST

I hear that in Austrailia that they use this device to distort the electron stream from CRTs and old TVs so that you can morph the image on the screen and design your own version of the currently playing TV show.

But how do you get the morphed image to record on a TiVo-like device, or even better yet to record the morphed image on the central servers at your cable company?
