What is the difference between 2333HD and T240HD?

Feb 5, 2009 11:08PM PST

I know that the difference between T240HD and T260HD is only the size hence the $60 amount difference here in manila. But the difference in price between the 2333HD and T240HD is about $100 (for only one inch). What's the difference between the 2333HD and T240HD ?

Touch of color?

From what i can tell physically, is it just the TOC? Does the TOC improve image quality? I also know that they differ in resolution (1920x1080 vs 1920x1200). But $100 ? i'm probably missing something else.. Happy

Differences...

mrcua,

Sorry for the delay in response.

The TOC is just the aesthetic (outer) design of the bezel. The difference in resolution and screen size (plus TOC upgrade) is about par for the differences.

My recommendation is to go with the one that offers the most value to you.

Thanks! I'll probably be getting a 240HD as the image seems more sharper in TV mode as compared to the 2333HD (at least in my eyes).

Hi! What is the lifespan for the screen of Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD, what would be the best practices to extend it's life longer.

teki5463,

Without having those specs in front of me, I believe the screen life is 60,000 hours for half-brightness. The best way to extend the life of any panel is to turn down the brightness and contrast to a comfortable level. Even in "torch mode" (everything amped), the panel itself should last quite a respectable amount of time.

I hope that helps.

Yes, it sure will extend its life turning the brightness level a bit low. Thanks!
