Until there is a drop box alternative you are stuck with PogoPlug and such. Here I ordered a Pogo and returned in in a few days after learning it was not the alternative I thought it was.

For a project, I am going to build my first NAS server. I've collected hardware so there's no need to worry about that, but I am unsure how to have the NAS server remotely accessible using DynDNS.
For example:
I am away from home and wish to get some documents from the server's storage. I want to just go onto a browser and type in my hostname from DynDNS.
Is that a good way to do what I want and is FreeNAS 8 a good operating system for my purposes?
Thanks in advanced
