What is the best sub $800 laptop?

I'm a college student looking to buy a new laptop. I really don't want to spend more than $800. I've done my research and I just want to hear from the community what they think is the best sub $800 laptop. My needs are as follows:

Be sure to look at the Acer TimelineX models.

The problem I see with the battery use is that at 300 cycles and your planned use you'll buy a battery every year.

Some folk didn't know and feel burned about that.

I would not go any older then

the ist generation i series processor or the 2nd generation I series processor. You will probably like an i5 because of Photoshop. Remember basically the newer the processor the better the battery life.
