What is the best pmp?

Mar 24, 2009 6:32PM PDT

I'm gonna get a new mp3 player next month and was wondering, Which is better? The Archos 5 or Cowon Qw5. I have researched the Archos alot and it has so many features I would love...Net,large storage,Vid, and the dvr looks great. I know that they seem to be a little buggy, but most people still stand by their Archos's and they just had 2 firmware updates. The Cowon seems cool, lots of features out of the box, Seemingly more stable, and with a slightly more open platform. It also seems that the Cowon is older tech, no recording ability but can be modded for emulation games, not a big selling point but cool. So to those out there that have expierence with one or both, what do you think?
I know about a new archos/android comming out in the 3rd quarter but I can't go much longer without my music. So next month I will buy...but I'm still not sure what I will buy. I would love feedback.

thanks-Matt

So did you buy?

I am curious to know if you bought any? and if you did, whats your impression?

I am also looking for large storage PMP, recording function is not my necessity but longer battery is for sure. I am quite tired of playing my music out of my PC and would like to play it from my boombox. I could plug-in PC output to boombox but that will shoot my power bill. I am cutting down on power bill too, plus this would be good for traveling.

There are few from China but scared of buying them. I bought photobank a while ago and its lying without use as it can not detect new memory cards Sad, once burned, lessons learned but I may be wrong.
