I have a selection of mkv and avi files that Iwish t convert to DVD's to be playable in a standard dvd player.
There seem to be loads around - are there any that are good, without spyware, or any to avoid at all costs??
Thanks

With the move to HDTV most are not happy with Video DVD which is SD (standard definition.)
Why not just put these files on the DVD and play them with smarter players? Newer BD Players will play the files in full HD.

You may take a look at this download list, it collects 10 free DVD Burning software, they are totally free without any limitation and watermark. I'm sure you will find one to burn DVD. I personally prefer to using imgburn.
