Resolved Question

What is the best CPU I can fit in this PC?

Hi,

I was wondering which CPU is the best one I can fit in my pc right now. I dont want to buy a new motherboard. There's going to be a MSI gtx 750ti in there so I don't need intergrated graphics.

motherboard is a MEDION MS-7800
Socket: Socket FM2 (904)
North Bridge: AMD K15 IMC rev 00
South Bridge: AMD A75 FCH rev 2.4
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. M7800W08.209 (11/02/2012)

thanks for helping me,

Robin

That doesn't include the PSU.

I take it you know why that matters.

You already have a top of the line AMD A series and the memory is in dual channel mode.

There is a drag chute on the system in the HDD so my advice is to change the boot drive to SSD.

Can you reveal why you want a faster CPU?

In reply to: Thanks

Some folk want better game performance and that's where we shop for the GPU. In this machine it's a value box so they used the APU. How about a nice 950/960 or higher?

All set on memory.

I think you'll see a big bump when you get the dedicated GPU.
