What is the best charging method?

Guys, I want to ask which option is better to prolong this laptop battery and make the battery healthier (regardless the performance).
Opt. 1: keep conservation mode on and plug in the laptop all the time of usage
Opt. 2: discharge charger at 60% and use until 40% and manually charge again.
Thank you guys in advance.

Option 1 is how the office laptops are used. We remove 5 year old laptops and find batteries showing 2% wear and sometimes 20% so that works.
Option 2 is new so I'll tell you in a few more years.

What does wear down a battery is use. Sitting on the desk with power applied does not appear to wear out a battery so the ABC rule works fine. ABC = Always Be Charging or rather, keep it plugged in and let the battery charge circuits do the work for us.

I think we have to plug in the charger at the laptop on 20% charging. At 98% to 99% charging, we have to plug out the charger. Because it is the best range.

If folk do that

I bet the power jack would wear out. Since our 5 year old laptops came back with only 2 to 20 percent battery wear after 5 years why bother unplugging the charger?
