Question

What is the best $1500 gaming PC

May 18, 2015 10:20AM PDT

I was wondering since I'm going to be building my own computer and my budget will be $1500 (NOTE: this is also including keyboard (i already have mouse) monitor and Operating System!)

If anyone could please leave some links for good $1500 gaming PC's. This is strictly for gaming I don't care about editing and live streaming and stuff like that. If you leave a link in the description make sure to include that it has a monitor and OS and a keyboard. Also make sure it can run any game near the 50-60 fps mark please and it could hopefully last me awhile as I don't usually have money laying around for upgrades Happy. One final note make sure it is over clockable.

THANKS a lot for helping me in advance! Happy Happy Happy

The thing is...

Prebuilts tend to blow past that. So let's pick out the usual Nvidia 980 GPU and build around that.

OK, let's cheat. Take a ready built and swap in the blazing fast GPU and PSU to power it.

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883156348
$620

2. 980 GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125696
550 (there's a coupon but I'll ignore it.)

3. PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G2KG1404
70 bucks.

So that's a front line gamer for about 1,240. You can get it all working then pop later for a SSD.

Sorry if misleading

I'm sorry if the title of this was misleading to you but I was wondering if there was any builds I could build myself because i know custom builds can usually get better stuff. If you could maybe make a build for $1500 with a monitor, OS, and keyboard that would be great THANKS Happy Happy Happy.

Do your homework

DIY, then find what makes sense to you. You know what you want then use that as a guide to your final PC. I mention this because the moment I suggest this or that you'll query why and what if i do this and this forum isn't meant to be a PC101 class. You already got an idea of your desires/needs and thus fulfill it.

I part as Robert pointed out that "pre-builds" already have the solution in hand. All you have to do is "REVIEW" what a build consists of and see if it fits your needs. then take what seems to fulfill and the overall build make-up and allocate or substitute what dovetails into your final PC build. If anything its a start into what you plan to get into. Alas, many a 3rd party build website offer "tier leveled products", meaning one level to the next provides a better product based on speed, stability, geek level or gee whiz factor to include any extended ram, storage, or cooling ability, etc..

Check the: http://forums.cnet.com/deals-and-bargains-forum/
for anything that maybe marketed in your area as well. Remember, cheap is cheap.

The exciting bit.
May 19, 2015 12:57AM PDT

If this is your first build be prepared for a total meltdown. That is, you know that there is a chance your build can go done in flames. That's what part of the excitement is, right?

By taking a ready to use box and upgrading it to game heavenly parts, you avoid all the big risks and it's still a thrill to change up the game engine (that's the GPU) to something high end.

I took it that we were building it.

We had to change out the PSU and GPU. That's building.
