What is Office Proof

Jan 9, 2013 5:23AM PST

In add/remouve I'm seeing items such as Microsoft Office Proof.
I'm seeing many entries for this in add/remouve.
Diffrent language packs i.e.:
Microsoft Office Proof (German)
Microsoft Office Proof (French) ....and many more
Also..
Microsoft Office InfoPath MUI
Microsoft Office Shared
These all have a Red square icon

I searched can see online something regarding Proof which is a Microsoft Tool.
Would this be it?
Its a bloody mess. It has an impact on Office 2007 and can't be uninstalled completely.
I've seen this on a few occasion.
If anybody has any ideas as what this is...
thank you

That are the language tools of MS Office, such as spell check. Seems you installed many languages.

Sounds like the Office Proofing tools.

Let's hope you realize that the add/remove programs is just a list and not an indicative that such is installed. This has sent folk off the deep end for years. I use tools like Revo Uninstaller to clean such things off the list.

Thank you. I got rid of it with Revo. So its clean now but I'm seeing it pop up in add remouve once in a while.
Is it possible its included in the Win updates?
