I forgot the card was AGP. I was reading an article that spoke of Nvidia creating PCIE 6800LE's SLI compatable. Never happened. It seemed Nvidia created this card originally for OEM, but they offered it to the public.
Some things I have pulled up...
"On the bench, the 6600GT is quite a nifty card. It only ever loses out to the 6800LE on AA and memory bandwidth; if anything, the AF is rather superior. Without AA/AF enabled, the 6600GT kicks the 6800LE in the nuts all down the line.."
"The 6800LE would be almost the exact same as a 6600GT performence, except when you go above 1024x768, the 6800 will start getting the higher numbers."
"The conclusions are not going to be one-one. Of the trinity of cards that we tested today - 6600GT, 6800LE, and 9800 PRO - there are two favorites. Each offers its own indisputable advantages and of course shortcomings."
"6800LE's "plus number one" (the most important) is the capability of enabling the pipelines. But after testing merely a single 6800LE card it's hard to talk about some sort of statistics, but if you succeed in getting what we got today and the card runs as 12x1/6 VP, you can dance with joy about the superb performance you acquire with those 250$+(Now only $125) you spent for the card."
Here are some Benchmarks
At full potential an 6800LE with unlocked pipelines will certainly perform better than a 6600GT. The Benchmarks prove it. At stock the 6800LE will perform alittle under a 6600GT. The ability to unlock the pipelines is not definite with every card. Luck has to be on your side.
And to think I never knew this card existed...learn something new everyday.
