what is better GAIM or AIM and why?

hey
i am wondering what is better GAIM or AIM. i've tried AIM and it is ok and i tried GAIM and it is a little better but i dont know what should i choose. please help me

1.) Opinions vary.
2.) Every products has its benefits and pitfalls.
3.) You should choose the one that suits you best.

"i tried GAIM and it is a little better"
-> Why ask which one you should like?
-> Use the one you like best.
-> Which one is that?
-> GAIM, according to your own statement.

GAIM is open source multi protocol IM, while AIM is only AOL user only..

BUT, GAIM only have standard smileys (you loose some of those fancy icon, smiley and sound ...

It's open source and has been inspected both inside and outside for security issues.

Is AIM open source?

-> I'll choose open source when possible since closed source is as bad as a trusted computing platform. You can't trust what you can't look inside.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
