What is best all around lens for Canon 30D

Im looking to buy a Canon 30D. The lens which comes with it, the image stablized 28 - 135, seems to be quite nice. I was wondering though if either Canon or another manufacurer makes a better lens which would be compatible with this camera. For instance is there a 18 - 200 lens made which has image stablization?

I suggest that you go for Canon EF 24-105 F4LIS and 10-22 EFS. One for normal shooting and the other is for wide-angle. Good luck.

Best all around lens

I have the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS and it works great with my 30D. I like this better than the 24-105 f/4L IS because of its f/2.8 and wider angle on the 30D. If I have the 5D, I will have got the 24-70mm f/2.8L (or the 24-105 f/4L IS but there is some mixed reviews on this lens). The 17-55mm f/2.8 IS complements very well with my 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS on the 30D.
The 18-200 mm lenses all have lower image qualities. But if that is what you are looking for, Sigma has an 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 OS (optical stabilization) lens for $549 at Canon does not have an 18-200mm lens.
