What is a re-manufactured ink jet cartridge?

one guy tell me that I need to re-manufactured my ink jet cartridge. So let me know what is the actual term it is.

With most ink cartridges, if you build an identical ink cartridge housing it is considered counterfeiting.

But you can take an old used ink cartridge, clean it and refill it with ink.
Then sell it as a remanufactured ink cartridge.

In inkjet printing, a remanufactured cartridge is an OEM cartridge that has been used, but are remanufactured (recycled) and refilled with ink.
