What is a PST file?

by bman1209 / July 30, 2009 6:59 AM PDT

I'm TRYING to export my Outlook info(contacts, calendars etc.) from my old laptop running Outlook 2000, to my new laptop running Outlook 2007. I seem to have done it but, there are duplicates of SOME contacts!!! I'm so confused, and Microsoft is no help to say the least.

Sadly normal. If you succeed in the move then as you use the new Outlook, clean up as you go.

Your subject says "What is a PST file?" and then you go off and talk about duplicate entries after an export/import operation. What is it that you want answered?
