I've been partial to Yamaha receivers in the past... but with the "digital revolution" in swing and more HD content coming our way... you might wanna be sure to wait and find one IN YOUR PRICE RANGE that supports DVI / HDMI switching (on top of the standard digital audio switching). Receivers like that will likely eliminate some of the audio/video seperation (sometimes called audio lag or video lag) that we see in home configured setups.
I was looking into a HTIB but decided on separate components. After reading about all of my options it seemed that this was the best way to go. I have a Samsung DVD player (it's okay) and purchased Yamaha Home Cinema 6.1 speakers (NS-P436). What would be a good receiver to go with this?
