What must be free?
- the app
- submitting an ad
Assuming your ads are meant to make a profit from something, it's good business practice to pay for ads. Just like you expect your customers to pay for your stuff or services.

The classified ads are free. And you can submit to many at one time
with an ad submitter.

"goodnews"?

Unsure how that applies to your question. There are spammers that have ad submitters but spam is not allowed here. As to the ad site, you can ask them directly which apps work.

The other issue with ad submitters is it often is used by spammers which degrades the free ad sites. At that point the ad site may disable such or limit your submissions to so many per day to outright bans.

What does "goodnews" mean in the context of this discussion?

I see the CNET username is "bestnews." Hence the question.
