Resolved Question

What if Virtual Wireless Adopter is incompatible with Window

Dec 20, 2015 9:05PM PST

I am using DELL Inspiron One 2310 All-in-One computer which now runs on Windows 7 Home Edition 64 Bit OS. This is about four years old now, and runs flawlessly, and in full speed. I have received Windows 10 upgrade. When I performed the compatibility test, I get this message: "Device manufacturers haven't made this device compatible with Windows 10, so they will cause problem. Check with manufacturers for support. You might not be able to connect to the Internet" The device in question is "Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adopter". Is there any remedy for this problem? Since, the incompatibility problem would apply to all computers using the above adopter, the problem is not specific to my computer. Therefore, I see little point in contacting the manufacturer. Is there any remedy for this problem? Or, should I chuck Windows 10, and continue with Windows 7? I would be grateful for any input on this issue. Many thanks.

Well your only options to move to Windows 10

is to replace the Broadcom card and replace it with something like an Intel (amazon) or buy a USB adapter. Otherwise you can stay with Windows 7.

If that's the only hurdle I usually can get it done for not much. USB WiFi starts at just under 10 and internal cards are pretty plentiful now (at least in the USA.)
