People doing what's criminal and govt letting them get away with it, no penalty. For rioters, no jail time, no retribution to the stores vandalized. For border jumpers, no retribution for cost of sending them back, and for many not even being sent back. Meanwhile those legally making purchases in stores, finding they've instead been wiped out of goods from rioters, and those waiting on permission to immigrate, finding their turn for that delayed by all the illegals who ran to the front of the line.

I don't see a problem as long as they show up at a legal check point and enter the country legally.

I pointed out how failure to deal with a border issue earlier, ended up causing a war later, which we then jumped into, and they lost what had been their homeland area, to invaders, which previously they'd failed to control. Failure to properly control borders can lead to later conflicts. As for borders, even YOU know God Himself assigned borders around countries, particularly Israel as Joshua lead the Hebrews into Caanan to secure it for themselves. Argue that one with Jehovah, OK?

Did you ever read John Grishams book "A painted house"? It's atypical because it isn't about lawyers and legal issues. It's about Mexicans coming to the USA in the summer of 1952 to work in the cotton crop. No students doing that kind of work in that book, if I remember well. I had the impression it was a quite common thing.

Knowing only his legal thrillers, I was pleasantly surprised by the book when I read it.

That means that these workers came in LEGALLY with work visas......and left when the season was over. They could come back regularly for various seasons throughout the year but each time had to leave and return for the next one. They weren't allowed to stay indefinitely, and most jobs were along the southern border. Then it expanded to other States and the illegals began surging in. By 1984 we had over 4M illegals which is when the Dems screwed Reagan on a deal where he gave them all amnesty first and they reneged on the deal after they got what they wanted. Now the number is closer to 20M and with over 60M dead American citizen babies, they need to replace that population, which is where we are now because Dems can't regain and hold power knowing that the millennials are also getting screwed by them and will one day wake up and their next generation won't be here to vote their way anymore. They discourage having fathers live in the house by offering much more money and benefits to those who live alone with their kids depriving them of any male figures they can respect and learn from. You won't read these but James will, to root out heresies. Perhaps others. Practical information from the organization of the God of whom it was said, he "IS love". And, those who try to apply the information to their own lives will at least be practicing the Golden Rule. That's supposed to be a good thing.

I like The Week magazine. I've never read Gobry before, but he seems thoughtful. He bends over backward to 'be fair' to all sides, so the reading seems wasted eventually. I looked at a couple of his articles on the Bible and Christianity, both of which he gets wrong at key points. Another day, perhaps. At least he (a French citizen) knows which racial and ethnic groups qualify for citizenship here.

It begins AFTER the flood, so those who go back to Adam and Eve go back too far. Jewish certain writings say Noah's children were red, white, and black. Another writing of theirs claim the earth was divided in regional areas, each thirds for Shem, Ham, and Japeth. Later the Hamites took over the Canaan area which was Shem's assigned area, till Moses and the Hebrews drove them back out. Japheth was given the lands to the north and westward from Ararat, which by extension would eventually include North America.

Let's also not forget God's action at the Tower of Babel, to disperse the people and create the nations and races in disparate parts of the earth.

Finally, the most obvious was the single nation & people he chose to bring Messiah to the Earth through.
