Question

What happenned to my Jump Lists

I have a Toshiba Laptop running windows 7. I use Office extensively and one feature that I appreciate is the Jump list when you right click on a word or excel icon. I installed Windows 10 and then went back to Windows 7 and now the jump lists are not there. What happened and how can I reactivate the jump lists.

If they aren't on your backup (and you know how to restore them) they probably are gone forever. Luckily, it's not too difficult to make them again.

How can I re-activate this feature?

I had the impression that you only lost your old entries, and that new ones were added again. But now it starts to look like you lost the feature and it doesn't work for new entries either. That's a quite different problem, since it's a standard feature of Windows 7, that can't be turned off and on by the user.
