What happened to my music?

Feb 24, 2006 5:14PM PST

I was looking through some CDs and found a bunch just labeled music. I put them into the computer and they had a lot of "mp3s". But I couldn't play them for some reason. It said the file format did not match the extension. They are all labeled as mp3s but I don't know why they won't play. I tried to convert them to wma files, but the converting program would not convert the files. Also, the folder of the music was in a folder called C$ and I think this was a backup CD or something.
Please help.

Thanks!

If you made that CD's ...

you're the only one who possibly knows (if you didn't forget it, as seems to be the case) what things you put on it, and how you did it. Remembering that will surely help you to use the information again.

I figured it out. I needed to download the backup software used to make the cds and then use it to restore the files back. The files could only be restored by using the backup software.
