Question

What GPU will fit in this PC?

Apr 27, 2017 11:54PM PDT

Specs:
i7 2600 3.4Ghz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Case open, not fan, not on fire
PSU: EVGA 430watts
Current GPU: Integrated graphics
Motherboard: Medion MS-7728
My motherboard only has one long port and tw short ones. If you look up an image youll see. My WiFi card takes up the long slot- can a GPu go on the short ones? Which GPU?

Answer
The WiFi card should be in a X1 slot.

The PSU looks good enough for almost any current gen GPU.

Advice: Move the WiFi card to X1 slots, look at the Nvidia 1050 to 1080, your budget decides how high.

Move the wifi card to a short slot.
If it won't fit or refuses to function get a usb wifi dongle.

You need to free up that long slot.

Once the long slot is freed then you can shop for a video card based on budget, the space available in the case and is 125w or less.

Just a note.

I did look at the PSU and it's a nice single rail PSU so we have a lot of Watts to drive a bigger GPU.

Yup

With a 100w cpu and a 125w gpu your over half way.
The op can go with a bigger gpu if they want.
I'd stick with a 125w limit.

While I'd want another step up on the PSU.
