Question

What GPU should I get with AMD A8-7600

Dec 18, 2016 12:31PM PST

I am looking to buy a graphics card that is relatively cheap. I heard you can do dual graphics with the A8-7600 and certain Radeon GPU's. My question is what is the best combination to do dual graphics?

PC specs:
-AMD A8-7600 APU
-12GB DDR3 Ram
-GPU: NONE

Let's hear more about the RAM

AMD A series take a speed dive if the memory isn't in pairs. All pairs must be of same make, model and size for the A series GPU and CPU to work as good as it can.

Answer
I wouldn't do dual or SLI.
Dec 18, 2016 12:33PM PST

There are plenty of prior reads on that where the GPU runs at the slowest of the 2 GPUs and the upgrader flames out.

Just get a nice GPU and don't try to SLI.

What's the budget? The 1050 would be your usual choice but much more needs to be told about the PSU and if there's a slot.

My Budget is around $100

Is there anything for that price that could get me 60+ FPS Normal settings on most games?

That's the 460 and 1050 then
Dec 18, 2016 12:50PM PST

You'll have to check out if folk get 60+ on games on those. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gpus,4380.html

"Normal" settings is somewhat a tar pit question. My normal settings won't be your game settings.

Since it's that low a budget, there are only 2 that may fit. This doesn't mean it will game at 60+.

Tell about that ram.
How many sticks?
What speed are the sticks?

Amd recommends the r7 240 to use dual graphics.
Shop around and see what you can find.
It's doubtful you will get 60 fps on medium settings.

Still running 6 years old A8-3870 without ANY graphics card
Jan 13, 2017 12:28AM PST

For all these years I've been running A8-3870 barebone without CPU. Yeah, yeah, I can't believe that either.
Still works for league of legends I can tell you that.

Reminds me of diablo II first come out, and I build this thing. Got a pair of ( like R.Proffitt said) very low latency memory, because the Apu uses memory for graphic processing, so low latency means better graphics. Overclocked gpu speed, cpu speed, even overclocked memory latency to its limit, which is not very much. And I was able to run diablo II at mid-high settings.

Don't know why I haven't killed it yet.

dont get 2

i would recommend only getting one graphics card instead of two. the tech is not really good enough at this point when running games. you will run into many graphical glitches, or games that simply don't support running 2 cards at all. also when updating drivers it can be a pain because it usually disables the function to run two together, and you need to go back in and turn it on. in regards to which card to get i would suggest sticking with amd since you have an amd cpu.

Buy either 1050ti or better rx470. i guess that's optimal.
