Question

What files will Samsung SmartTV recognize

Apr 3, 2015 1:42AM PDT

I have a Samsung SmartTV UN55H6350AFXZA serial 1323K. I wanted to make up a thumb drive to insert into USB port on TV and show photos. Well I used a well know program and made a PhotoShow. With, I think the extension of photoshow. My TV couldn't recognize the files. So what file types will Samsung SmartTv recognize? Would someone want to recommend a good, preferably free program to do this? Thanks

I am pretty sure it would recognize JPG/JPEG, What extension do your photos have?

JPG/JPEG

While there on my computer they are JPG/JPEG. But when I tried to setup a slide show program thru the Rox it set it with I believe was .photoshow ext. I could just drag and drop but would like to have a theme setup and random showing. I'm thinking there would be a program to do this and leave the files as JPG/JPEG> Thnaks

Really?

You're asking the TV, to use a computer program. The TV will only show these if they are just photos.

Random shuffle of photos
Apr 6, 2015 12:51AM PDT

Yes thanks. I just moved all pre Easter photos into folder than put on flash drive. Worked well. Is there a way to have a program shuffle the photos? I put them on in groups of dates. It is a little over whelming to watch 2009 year all at once. Would like to be able to shuffle years amongst them shelf's. Thanks
