Any server with the right program on it will do. So you'll have to find the hardware up to the task (which doesn't seem to be very intensive), the right OS (Linux or Windows), hardware to connect to television equipment (basically, a TV-out), and a program that selects the right slides in the right sequence to show.
I need to know what equipment i would need. Im looking to have a remote server hooked up to television equipment. On this server I would have a website running, and this website is built for users to create slides for a slideshow. The slides are saved to the server, so when i approve the slides they will be displayed on a slideshow broadcast over the televisions. The thing is how can i remotely access the server to approve slides while the computer is playing the slideshow without interruption? Is there such a server that i can access and move files while the slideshow is in full loop all the time through its output to the tvs?
