Question

what does my computer need to be able to play fallout nv

windows vista home basic i bought windows 7 home prem. so what do you think i dont want a new pc just want to fix this one up for as cheap as i can so i can play fallout new vegas on it and maybe skyrim
its a emachine w6311
512mb ddr2 max is 2gb
160 gb sata hdd
3.0ghs p4 ht socket 775
pci express slot
2 pci slots
dvd+rw
3 sata slots open
intel intergrated graphics
regular specs other than that

Ram....Gpu....and maybe a Psu.

yes and im not to sure gonna sell my laptop and ipod touch for some spare money so around 100 to 240 maybe

The machine has a 2GB ram limit.
W7 and some AV product will take a big chunk of that......no matter how much you skinny it down.
I suspect that when you go to play some game the machine will be swapping it's brains out.....you won't be happy with the perf.

Are you sure you want to throw bucks at this thing?

it has a socket 775 so it will take a dual core
and 2gb ram plus a decent graphics card would it not be able to play fallout new vegas

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
