Question

What do the letters & numbers of LG models mean?

May 27, 2013 5:49AM PDT

(not the size number!)
on one site, I see for sale various models of LN, LA, GA, LM, G2 & a couple of LS. what are the differences between those from a consumer point of view? (I didn't find the info on LG site!)

then, within the LN, three are 5400, 5700 and 5300.
There are also multiple models for the other 'letter models.'

Obviously, there may be additional models on other sites.

Answer
Look at all the TVs on their site

If you look at all the TVs on the LG site, you can spot a pattern. E.G. the LA ones are LED with 120 or 240 refresh rates, the LN ones are LED without the faster rates. I have an LG 47SL90 TV I bought 2.5 years ago - the SL stands for Side Lit, but I have no idea what the 90 refers to.

LG model numbers -- doesn't seem to answer LN v LM v ....
but, does say that a higher inital number (9, 8 ) is more feature-rich/expensive than lower initial numbers.

some other info here

would still appreciate further enlightenment!
