I have got a 3.5" 80Gb SATA HDD, it has been wiped with dban, so it is completely blank, I would like to use it as a USB mass storage device (external HDD) using a USB HDD caddy. Should I just be able to plug it into my windows 7 machine in the caddy and let windows do the rest, or do I need to add some sort of formatting/partition, if so how and what? Thanks
